Military Wives,
Thank you for your ongoing support of our service men and women. The work you do is commendable and greatly appreciated. As a leader committed to serving the needs of our service men and women, we need your help to Carry the Load and help us bring back the true meaning of Memorial Day.
Carry the Load is a non-profit founded former Navy Seals to raise funds and awareness for Veterans and their surviving families. We are currently "rucking", or walking, through Virginia on our 1,700-mile relay from West Point, New York to Dallas, Texas to help honor and highlight the sacrifices of America's heroes as we approach Memorial Day. Wednesday, May 2, we walked with many 9/11 families and the Iraqi & Afghanistan Veterans Association to ground zero for a memorial service and gathered in Arlington on Sunday, May 6th to pay our respect to the great American heroes that gave their last full measure of service for our nation.
We need your help to share the story. Please join our virtual relay by posting information about our cross-country trek on your organization's and your personal website, blog or social media sites. Posts can include sharing your experience on the trail, inviting your audience/members of your organization to participate online or sharing photos, videos or Hero stories from our website with your audience. If you post information about Carry the Load on your site, please email a link to the post to

1,700 miles. 27 days. 1 mission. Honoring America's Heroes. Join the Relay. Support America's Fallen Heroes. Men and women across the United States are honoring America's Fallen Heroes in a 27-day, 1,700 mile cross-country relay. The relay is being organized by Carry the Load, a non-profit organization devoted to honoring America's military heroes and providing support to veterans and their families. On May 1st, Carry the Load stepped off at West Point, New York. Over the course of twenty-seven days we will walk 1,700 miles to Dallas, Texas, the site of our flagship Memorial Day Awareness event. Join us on May 27 in Dallas, or at one of the 350 points along the road of remembrance. Those not able to participate in the relay can show support by sponsoring a leg of the relay or by donating directly to the campaign by visiting http://www.CarryTheLoad.org. From the Trail
The trek has been an inspiring walk of remembrance. The stories collected along the way as we walked to the World Trade Center Memorial with 9/11 families, stopped in Arlington National Cemetery with veterans and surviving spouses and rucked through small towns across the US symbolize the true meaning of Memorial Day.
Below are a few highlights from the Relay so far.
